Betty Girl of the Month: Milly

Each month we are going to put an amazing Betty Rides customer in the spotlight. Betty girls aren’t just any girl.. they like to shred hard, and look like a girl doing it. They chase adrenaline and are go-getters, trend-setters, leaders and an inspiration to girls around them..

Our first Betty of the Month is Milly Wallace from Salt Lake City Utah (originally from Seattle, WA). From a ballerina to an avid paraglider, she’s not your average girl! She was even featured on TruTV’s top 20 most shocking thrills and spills for taking a hard fall and breaking her back while mountain boarding. That’s one tough chick! Her Betty Rides gear has been useful for a lot more than just snowboarding. Read on to find out what makes this girl a bad-ass betty!

How did you get into snowboarding?
I never thought I would be a snowboarder, I was a ballerina, in show choir, a flute/piccolo girl and my friends were all starting to snowboard. I didn’t want to be left behind on something fun so I gave it a whirl. Never took a lesson, that would have helped my bruised backside.

What are your other hobbies/involvements?
I think I have too many hobbies to have time for, but my main ones that I can’t live with out are Snowboarding, Paragliding, Mountainboarding and snowkiting. I am also a snowboard coach for a program called Team Utah Snowboarding here in Utah coaching athletes for competitive snowboarding. I compete in snowboarding and mountainboarding. This year I have taken a challenge from an athlete I coach to start competing again, so I will be in boardercross and slopestyle with USASA, so I might see some of you out there!

When did you start wearing Betty Rides?
4 years ago the Utah Rep at the time gave me an outwear set up when I was working at backcountry.com and I have been hooked on Betty Rides ever since.

What do you like about your Betty Rides gear?
Well first of all I look like a girl in my gear and everyone is always asking me where I get my cute clothes. Betty Rides gear is funtional, comfotrable and cute. What more can you ask for in snowboard gear? I love the colors and patterns the designers come up with year after year. It is awesome to be a chick in cute clothes and be able to shred as hard as the boys.

In my Betty Rides snowboard gear quiver I now have 4 jackets and 4 pairs of pants, all of which I carry in my car at all times, you never know which jacket you feel like wearing that day. No matter what outfit I wear that day, everyone always knows who I am in my cute outerwear.
